FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HCG DIET INJECTIONS: WHAT ARE THEY?
HCG, more formally known as Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, is a female hormone released during pregnancy. It's what keeps a woman's metabolism stable while she's carrying a child. It is also the primary element in HCG diet injections.
These injections use the HCG hormone to allow you to go on a calorie deficit diet without feeling hungry. HCG diet injections also prevent muscle loss while dieting by increasing hormone levels in your body to counteract muscle breakdown. This diet will also assist you in metabolizing excess fat in your body, allowing you to lose weight very quickly.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT WITH HCG SHOTS?
Expect to be hungry during the first few days of the diet. After about 48 hours, the HCG begins to suppress your appetite and release fat stores to help feed your body. Most HCG dieters lose 1 to 2 pounds per day, at the very least half a pound per day, and up to 3 pounds per day. On average, one pound is usually lost on the first day. Including high-fiber vegetables in some form with every meal but breakfast can be very beneficial for your weightloss journey with HCG injections.
WILL I BE HUNGRY DURING THE HCG DIET?
Mild hunger is common in the first few days, but this will pass by the second week, when even very small servings will be completely satisfying. This is due in part to your hypothalamus adjusting your metabolic rate, but more importantly to the amount of calories circulating in your system as a result of fat release. After that, many HCG dieters even feel as if they are stuffing themselves in order to reach the 1000-calorie limit!
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH HCG INJECTIONS?
There are very few reported side effects when using HCG for weight loss. When HCG injections are used for fertility purposes, the higher dose has been known to cause headaches and pregnancy symptoms. However, no such problems have been reported with HCG Injections for weight loss.
WILL ANY MAINTENANCE BE REQUIRED?
Following maintenance programs are dependent on the patient's ability to keep the weight off. Additional treatment plans can include more HCG injections, B complex and vitamin shots, Lipotropic injections and wellness counseling. If a patient is having difficulty maintaining their weight, we can adjust the maintenance period and the frequency of treatment as needed.
