DOES JAWLINE ENHANCEMENT MAKE YOU LOOK YOUNGER?

As we age, our mid face and jaw bones diminish, reducing the amount of “scaffolding” holding up the soft tissues of fat and skin in the face. This loss of structure results in the formation of jowls, or the movement of the soft tissues of the face. Our mandible contour also recedes, resulting in a loss of jawline definition. These factors, combined with gravity and the reduction of tissue elasticity, make the signs of aging in the jawline appear. While we cannot yet regrow facial bone structure, a Jawline Enhancement with dermal filler injections can help address the loss of volume in the face, reshaping, shifting and rejuvenating your features for a more youthful result.

CAN MEN BENEFIT FROM JAWLINE ENHANCEMENT?

Although men and women have different goals, dermal filler injections can be used by any patient that hopes to achieve the shape and structure that will best suit their face. For men, the chin width should be the same width as the mouth and chin shape tends to be more square. For women, the chin width should match the width of the nose and the chin shape is typically rounder. WHO IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE?

Patients who have unrealistic expectations or those going through any mental or physical trauma are not suitable to undergo any cosmetic procedure. Particularly, the ideal candidate for a Jawline Enhancement only needs minimal permanent work done, does not smoke, and is in overall good health. HOW LONG IS THE RECOVERY?

Although the effects of a Jawline Enhancement can be instantly seen, there may be some mild swelling and bruising around the injection sites after the procedure. Most of the swelling from the dermal filler is expected to be resolved 2-3 days after the procedure, but there may be a small amount of swelling for even 2-4 weeks after the procedure. For all that, your results will get even better when swelling subsides.

IS JAWLINE ENHANCEMENT PAINFUL?

During the procedure, dermal fillers are applied along the jawline and lower face using a series of small injections. The treatment is relatively pain-free, but you may experience some pressure at the injection sites. Before your Jawline Enhancement is performed, a topical numbing cream may be applied to help reduce the sensation in the chin and jaw area. Keep in mind that you may also experience some minor swelling and discomfort for up to 48 hours after treatment.
