What Causes a Double Chin?

Under-chin fullness, also called submental fullness, is extremely common in both men and women. Genetics, aging, and body composition all contribute to this. Many people develop a double chin, even at a healthy weight. Because this area is resistant to diet and exercise, lifestyle efforts alone may not be enough to reduce it. Structural factors, such as bone projection, chin position, or neck anatomy, can also influence the appearance of fullness. Injectable fat reduction directly targets the underlying fat pad, offering a more sculpted contour.

How Kybella & PCDC Chin Reduction Work

These treatments break down fat cells in the submental region through a natural metabolic process. I recently went into StudioMD to have a procedure done by Dr. Khan. Specifically, I wanted to treat excess fat in my abdominal area and decided to opt for smart lipo. Dr. Khan is very sure of himself as a doctor, which put a lot of my woes to the side. This was my first large cosmetic surgery, so I was extremely nervous. On the day of my procedure, I was delayed because some events were happening in the city, and Dr. Khan and his nurses were extremely accommodating. They let me take my time (I had to pee and just couldn't because of nerves until 2 minutes before surgery) and even gave me pep talks and stress balls to calm my nerves. When we got to work, it was quick and effortless. Dr. Khan allowed me to ask as many questions as I wanted and even called the next day to see how I was doing. They prescribed meds that were ready for pickup immediately and even gave me additional meds that I asked for pain management just in case. One of the amazing nurse technicians even text me afterward and shared her favorite shapewear and other things to help with recovery. I know many of these things seem like, "yeah, they should do that", but I've seen a lot of practices that don't. I also felt the price was fairly affordable since I've seen similar pricing outside of NYC. I'm beginning to feel beautiful in my body again, and I am so thankful to Dr. Khan and his staff. I'll be back soon for some other small cosmetic procedures I want to keep up.

My bikini is bare, my face is smooth. In addition to laser, I've had microdermabrasion-SUCCESSFUL, chemical peel-successful! Everything Jamie recommends is perfect for me and as a medium tanner skin woman, it's not always easy to find estheticians who are knowledgeable on pigmented skin. To my surprise, the laser treatments were practically painless! I didn't feel a thing in my bikini area. They keep their tools and machines up to date! Very important!! The transplant team did a good job was friendly, and cognizant of any issues I may have. The nursing staff answered all of my questions and was always available to me for any level of questions (medical, financial, etc). As I continue to follow up with them both in-person and virtually, I continue to experience the same level of professionalism and commitment from the day I met the team and had my procedure done. If you are on the fence about getting any sort of FUE or any cosmetic procedure done, I would rest easy knowing that StudioMD is out there taking care of their patients and treating them really well. An aside for finances. Most cosmetic surgeries/treatments are not covered by insurance because insurance is stupid. Prices for certain procedures can get hefty but the team doesn't strong arm you into something that will financially burden you and can help you plan for the financial strings that will come attached to the procedures. If you do not have a line of credit that can cover part if not all of the costs, the team offers you CareCredit which is an independent lender that reviews your financial profile to help approve a loan for you with a decent interest rate. It is interest free for about 6 months so plan accordingly about how to pay it back.

Will Kybella tighten loose skin?

Kybella does not tighten skin; it focuses solely on fat reduction. Many patients experience a mild improvement due to natural collagen stimulation, but results depend on individual skin elasticity. Does the treatment hurt?
