FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT CAN EXOSOMES DO FOR HAIR LOSS?
Clinical trials have demonstrated that injecting exosomes and growth factors into the scalp can help regenerate and regrow hair in both men and women in the early phases of hair loss.
Exosomes are being studied for a variety of purposes, including male and female sexual function/revitalization, joint regeneration, and facials. They're also being researched for biomarkers, Lyme disease therapies, and rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Since, exosomes are produced by follicular stem cells, they are thought to aid hair development and prevent hair loss.
HOW MANY EXOSOMES ARE IN EACH VIAL PROCESSED?
We use 200 billion or more exosomes every vial to treat hair loss. We discovered that a product containing 200 billion exosomes is more than enough to restore hair growth. Each vial also includes a sheet that lists all of the tests that were passed.
Donor ethics and FDA-approved non-reactive serological screening includes:
- Donor consent;
- HBsAG (Hepatitis B Surface Antigen);
- HBcAb (Hepatitis B core Antibody);
- HCV (Hepatitis C Antibody);
- HIV 1/11-Ab (HIV Nucleic Acid Test);
- HCV NAt (HCV Nucleic Acid Test).
WILL EXOSOMES PROLONG THE HAIR GROWTH CYCLE?
Exosomes do, in fact, help to extend the hair-growth cycle. Hair follicles in the telogen (resting) phase convert to anegan (growth) phase, extending the cycle.
This is important because hair follicles, like every other component of our body, age. Follicular cells, unlike many other types of cells, age with each growth cycle. Follicular cells begin to change as they enter and exit each phase, which might take decades. With that, hair strands begin to shorten and become more brittle, a process known as miniaturization. Without treatment, hair strands continue to decrease during each telogen phase until growth stops entirely.
Many hair care products and procedures aid in the extension of hair growth. Few, however, are as powerful as exosomes.
CAN I COMBINE EXOSOME THERAPY WITH OTHER HAIR LOSS TREATMENTS?
Absolutely! In addition to exosome therapy, we recommend that you keep up with your medications for hair loss such as Viviscal, Propecia, Finasteride, or Minoxidil.
At StudioMD Medical Aesthetics & Wellness Centers we also provide several other treatments for hair restoration, including Hair Transplant (FUE), Injections for Hair Loss, Red Light (LED) Therapy and Rx & Products.
DOES EXOSOME THERAPY HAVE ANY SIDE EFFECTS?
There is little to no downtime associated with the procedure. You will likely not experience any discomfort with Exosomes Hair Therapy. Most of our patients have reported no long-term side effects and only a very small percentage of patients suffer from side symptoms like headaches, minor fevers, nausea, or vomiting. Please contact our office if any of these side effects last longer than three days.
