HOW DOES QWO® WORK FOR CELLULITE REDUCTION?
In essence, QWO is an FDA-approved injectable treatment for moderate to severe cellulite. The injections are minimally invasive and placed directly into the cellulite dimples. The collagen-dissolving enzyme in QWO works by weakening the fibrous bands that cause cellulite, releasing the cellulite dimples, and allowing the fat to settle into a more uniform pattern, leading the buttocks to appear more smooth.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE QWO® TREATMENT?
The whole process of a QWO treatment is quite quick and easy. During each session, your cellulite dimples will be marked and then injected with a QWO dose. Since the treatment is relatively painless, you won't require anesthesia. It only takes under 15 min, and you can leave and go about your day. There is no major aftercare to the treatment, but significant bruising can be expected.
WHAT IS RECOVERY LIKE? CAN I IMMEDIATELY GO BACK TO NORMAL ACTIVITIES?
There is no downtime required to recover from QWO. Even though bruising can occur in most patients, it doesn’t interfere with everyday activities. So you can expect to resume your normal routine directly after the injections and go back to the gym the day after your QWO treatment.
WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR QWO®?
You shouldn’t receive QWO injections if you are allergic to any collagenase ingredients in QWO, or if you have an active infection in the treatment area.
It is important to talk to your doctor and inform them if you have experienced an allergic reaction to injections in the past, or if you have any sort of bleeding problems. And since it is not known if QWO can affect your unborn baby or breastmilk, you shouldn’t receive injections if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, or currently breastfeeding.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS TO QWO®?
The most common side effects of QWO include injection site bruising, pain, areas of hardness, itching, redness, discoloration, swelling, and warmth in the treatment area. But most of the bruising lessened after each treatment and resolved in less than two weeks. Other serious side effects are rare but can include allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions, such as anaphylaxis.
