CoolSculpting is an FDA-cleared, non-surgical fat-freezing treatment that uses controlled cooling to target and destroy stubborn fat cells. Over time, the body naturally eliminates these frozen cells, resulting in a reduction of up to 20–25% in fat in the treated area, with no anesthesia, needles, or downtime required.
CoolSculpting utilizes cryolipolysis, a controlled cooling technology that freezes and destroys fat cells while sparing the surrounding tissue. These damaged fat cells are gradually eliminated by your lymphatic system over several weeks, leading to smoother, slimmer contours.
CoolSculpting reduces stubborn fat deposits that don’t respond to diet or exercise. It’s noninvasive, requires no anesthesia, and offers consistent, natural-looking results with minimal discomfort. It’s ideal for treating multiple body areas and achieving refined, sculpted definition.

CoolSculpting requires little to no downtime. You may experience temporary numbness, mild swelling, tingling, firmness, or soreness in the treated area, which typically resolves within a few days to a few weeks. Most patients return to their daily activities immediately, including work and light exercise. Some areas may feel tender or “stiff” as fat cells begin to break down; this is normal and short-lived. Your StudioMD SoHo provider will review personalized aftercare guidelines and discuss when to schedule follow-up sessions, typically spaced 4–8 weeks apart for optimal fat reduction.
Results gradually develop over 6–12 weeks as your body clears the frozen fat cells. Many patients notice early changes as soon as three weeks post-treatment, with the most significant improvements appearing at the three-month mark. Most areas require one to three sessions. Results are long-lasting, and maintenance cycles can be done if desired to enhance or sustain definition.
