How Does Smartlipo Work?

Smartlipo is a minimally invasive laser liposuction treatment that liquefies fat through controlled thermal energy. I recently went into StudioMD to have a procedure done by Dr. Khan. Specifically, I wanted to treat excess fat in my abdominal area and decided to opt for smart lipo. Dr. Khan is very sure of himself as a doctor, which put a lot of my woes to the side. This was my first large cosmetic surgery, so I was extremely nervous. On the day of my procedure, I was delayed because some events were happening in the city, and Dr. Khan and his nurses were extremely accommodating. They let me take my time (I had to pee and just couldn't because of nerves until 2 minutes before surgery) and even gave me pep talks and stress balls to calm my nerves. When we got to work, it was quick and effortless. Dr. Khan allowed me to ask as many questions as I wanted and even called the next day to see how I was doing. They prescribed meds that were ready for pickup immediately and even gave me additional meds that I asked for pain management just in case. One of the amazing nurse technicians even text me afterward and shared her favorite shapewear and other things to help with recovery. I know many of these things seem like, "yeah, they should do that", but I've seen a lot of practices that don't. I also felt the price was fairly affordable since I've seen similar pricing outside of NYC. I'm beginning to feel beautiful in my body again, and I am so thankful to Dr. Khan and his staff. Recovery After Smartlipo

Recovery from Smartlipo is typically quick and manageable. Most patients return to office work and light daily activities within one to two days. A compression garment is usually worn to help control swelling, support healing tissues, and maintain the new contour as your body recovers.

Mild bruising or soreness is normal and generally improves over several days. Over the next few weeks, swelling gradually decreases, and your shape becomes more defined. You’ll attend follow-up visits so your physician can monitor your progress and answer any questions during recovery.
