WHAT IS INVOLVED IN A BUTTOCKS LIFT?
A Butt lift, also known as a but augmentation, uses excess fat from another part of your body, such as the thighs or abdomen, to enhance your buttocks. The doctor uses liposuction to remove excess fat and centrifuge technology to purify it during the procedure. The purified fat will then be precisely injected into your buttocks to give you a perkier, more voluptuous backside.
HOW ARE BUTTOCKS LIFTS AND BUTTOCKS IMPLANTS DIFFERENT?
Although both procedures seek to enhance the buttocks through surgical techniques, they do so in very different ways. A buttlift makes use of your own fat from another part of your body. Butt implants are artificial devices that are surgically implanted in the buttocks to increase volume. Most patients nowadays prefer a but lift because it is a less invasive procedure that produces more natural results. However, if you do not have enough fat to perform fat grafting, buttocks implants can help.
WHERE IS THE FAT COLLECTED?
The abdomen, lower back, waist, love handles, hips, and thighs are the most common areas of fat harvesting for the buttocks lift. These are the most reliable locations for removing large amounts of fat. The ideal amount of fat varies from patient to patient because everyone has different goals for how they want their backside to look. Thinner patients may require multiple areas of liposuction to collect enough fat for transfer. So it is important to note that those with low body fat and a very lean frame are typically not good candidates for this procedure.
WILL THE BUTTOCKS LIFT SURGERY CAUSE ANY SCARS?
Surgical scars can form in any area where liposuction is performed, and a Butt Lift presupposes small incisions to insert the liposuction cannula. However, the scars are typically less than 0.5 inch long. Your surgeon will also take care to place them in areas where they can be hidden by clothing or camouflaged within the natural folds of your body. The incisions will eventually fade and, depending on your skin tone, become much less visible once fully healed.
AM I A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A BUTTOCKS LIFT?
If your buttocks lack fullness, size, and shape due to genetics or age, and you want to improve their volume and contour, a Butt Lift may very well be a good option for you. But even so, the best candidates are in good general health and do not have excess, sagging skin around the lower buttocks. If that is not the case, you may want to consider having the excess skin removed prior to the procedure.
