WHY SHOULD I GET A PDO THREAD LIFT?
A PDO thread lift treatment can improve skin quality (smoothing and rejuvenating) while also tightening sagging skin on the face, neck, and body (arms, abdomen and buttocks). Depending on our goals, we will use monos, cogs, or thread combinations. Younger patients who do not yet have sagging skin and want to maintain their skin quality are frequently advised to use mono threads. To help tighten the skin in specific areas or to prepare the skin for cog threads in older patients, mono threads may also be used. Cog threads are generally appropriate for patients in their 30s and up who have signs of sagging skin, especially around the jowls.
HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT LAST?
The area that needs treatment will determine how long it will take. Pre-treatment preparations, such as cleansing the skin and applying numbing medication, usually take about 20 minutes. However, depending on the area to be treated, the procedure can take anywhere between 30 and 60 minutes.

Unlike the traditional surgical facelifts - which result in visible changes and well-hidden but still visible scars - a PDO thread lift leaves no scars and does not alter your unique facial features. The best part is that after a thread lift, you can usually expect to look the same as you did several years ago. Because a PDO thread is intended to actually lift and shift soft tissues to their previous location. And as your body produces collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid, your results will continue to improve over the next few weeks, peaking around six months and lasting up to two years.
HOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST FOR?
The good news is that PDO thread lifting can provide long-term results depending on your age and how your skin responds to treatment. Some of our patients benefit from their treatments for up to two years before returning for maintenance procedures. Top-up treatments will be no problem after this time because our PDO threads are completely absorbable. Although PDO threads will not stop the aging process, they will improve facial features, tighten and tone your skin, and reduce certain lines and wrinkles.
WHO IS SUITABLE FOR THREAD LIFT TREATMENT?
Candidates for thread lifts are typically in their late thirties to late fifties, with mild to moderate signs of skin laxity. While most patients with excessive laxities will benefit more from facelift surgery, thread lifts can provide a facelift alternative for patients who do not want or cannot have surgery for medical reasons. Many people with age-related conditions that preclude surgery (such as high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease) can benefit from thread lifts because they can be performed under local anesthesia.
