FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT IS BABY BOTOX (aka Microtox)?
Baby Botox, also often referred to as soft Botox, is a variation on the traditional Botox procedure that includes injecting lesser amounts of the toxin in facial treatments. The sole distinction between the two treatments is the dosage of botulinum toxin, which is administered in both and has the same strength in both.
WHY GET BABY BOTOX?
When addressing the use of Baby Botox, there are two key advantages. The first benefit is that the presence of Botox will be less apparent. The best outcome if you desire to have a more natural appearance and more mobility in your faces. As a result, Baby Botox is becoming more popular for younger people as a prophylactic strategy for noticeable signs of aging. Second, compared to regular Botox, Baby Botox can target more specific facial locations for treatment. This also implies that it can be used to problem areas with greater complexity.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH BABY BOTOX?
One of the most frequent side effects of Botox is minor bruising at the injection site. Any bruises should go in a few days and some people find makeup helps cover them up. Of course, everyone's experience with bruises is different. Avoid drinking wine or alcohol the week before your injections to reduce the chance of it happening. Reduce your use of non-prescription anti-inflammatory vitamins and drugs as well. It is also important to keep in mind that it can take a few days to a week to see the results, depending on how you react to Botox.
WILL THERE BE ANY DOWNTIME?
Because Botox is minimally invasive, there should be no downtime required. You can, however, take precautions to lessen your chance of both common and uncommon adverse effects. After your injection, don't exercise for the rest of the day. You should also try to sleep on your back that night and avoid lying down for at least three hours afterwards. Avoid makeup for the remainder of the day and cleanse gently. Additionally, stay out of the sun as much as you can for the following day or two. These are only temporary measures to give your skin time to heal and reduce the risk of swelling.
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
Baby Botox results could last two months, compared to three months for standard Botox treatment. However, each patient will experience the long-term effects differently. The decision to continue treatment to sustain the results after the effects have peaked is ultimately up to you.
