WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY BEHIND COOLSCULPTING?
CoolSculpting, also known as cryolipolysis, works by selectively freezing and then damaging the fat cells beneath the skin. Unlike other types of cells, these fat cells are particularly sensitive to the effects of cold. While the fat cells freeze, the skin and other cell types are unaffected. A portion of the targeted fat cells are irreparably damaged and die. Then, over the course of about 12 weeks, your body will naturally eliminate the dead fat cells. With that, CoolSculpting manages to get rid of fat with no needles or surgery.
WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO REMOVE BRA FAT LIKE?
The CoolSculpting hand-piece is placed over and moved around the undesired bra fat area for approximately 35 minutes. You can use this time to rest, read, check your emails, or even nap! While you relax, fat cells freeze, causing them to die. Your body's natural processes will then flush out these dead cells, removing them from the bra-line and, eventually, the entire body.
CAN I TREAT BACK AND BRA FAT AT THE SAME TIME?
Yes, CoolSculpting can treat back fat and front bra bulges, but each area must be examined separately. While back fat is fairly easy to spot, front bra bulge requires a little more attention. Before any non-surgical fat reduction for this area can begin, an examination by an experienced clinician is required to determine whether the area is simply excess fat or glandular breast tissue. Once the exam is finished and the results are in, your CoolSculpting procedure can be scheduled.
ARE THE RESULTS FOR ARMPIT FAT PERMANENT?
The results of CoolSculpting armpit fat removal are really long-lasting. Fat is gone for good once it's gone. However, you must maintain your weight in order to maintain your results. When you gain or lose weight, it is distributed evenly throughout your body. With weight gain and loss, the fat cells we leave behind can expand and contract. You'll never have as many fat cells in the treated area as you did before, but if you gain a lot of weight, you'll notice weight gain all over your body, including the areas you treated.
ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS ASSOCIATED WITH COOLSCULPTING FOR ARMS AND BRA?
Common side effects can occur in the treatment area during and after a treatment.
During a treatment you can expect mild sensations of pulling, pinching, tingling, stinging and cramping as the Coolsculpting device starts sucking your skin. These sensations will subside as the area becomes numb.
Following treatment some patients experience redness, firmness, blanching or even mild bruising around the edges of the treatment area. But take comfort in knowing that these are only temporary and will likely resolve within a few days.
