HOW DOES QWO® WORK?
QWO is the first-ever minimally invasive injectable procedure for moderate to severe cellulite in adult women’s buttocks. The treatment targets the bands beneath the skin surface directly, which results in the smoothing of the skin for the improved appearance of cellulite.

HOW IS QWO® PERFORMED?
The whole QWO treatment is very quick and relatively painless. It is typically completed in less than 15 minutes with no downtime. The injection procedure involves identifying dimples in the buttocks and using a small-gauge needle to inject the QWO in them. Your treatment plan will determine the number of dimples to be targeted before the procedure. It can involve up to 24 sites to be injected per session. And at the 3-week follow-up treatment, new sites may need to be injected.
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST
The company that manufactures QWO is currently running a long-term study to gather data and more accurately answer this question. While we do not yet know exactly how long the effects of QWO will last, we do know that QWO received FDA approval based on a 6-month study following over 800 patients, and that the majority of treated patients saw improvement in the appearance of their cellulite during that time.
HOW IS THE RECOVERY FROM QWO?
After the QWO treatment, you can expect to feel sore as if you had a good workout. But this sensation should resolve within a few days. It is best to avoid any rigorous exercise involving the bottom half of your body for the first few days, for better results. But, if you are already used to it, you should be able to go back to the gym and lead an active lifestyle the day after being treated with QWO.
It is important to note that nodules may be felt in the site and are a normal side effect of the treatment. They will resolve in 7-10 days.
