WHAT IS KYBELLA®?

KYBELLA® is a prescription medicine used in adults to improve the appearance and profile of moderate to severe fat below the chin (submental fat), also called “double chin.” Kybella is a quick procedure and requires no downtime.

HOW IS THE PROCEDURE?

Submental fat near the chin and the neck is often associated with aging and weight gain and can develop even if you are relatively young or lead a healthy and active lifestyle. Kybella reduces the appearance of a double chin and provides a natural, firmly contoured appearance of the neck and submental area.

Dr. Khan injects Kybella into precise areas of the neck with fatty deposits reducing the heavy appearance through few simple injections. Kybella injection has the potential to transform the contour of the jowls and the neck by dissolving the unwanted fat in these areas. Kybella injections have the potential to replace invasive procedures or surgery as a procedure for many patients with submental fullness, heavy necks, jowls, or double chin.*

HOW DOES KYBELLA® WORK?

The active ingredient in KYBELLA® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath your chin, KYBELLA® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.
