WHAT IS THERMAGE RF?

As we age, the collagen in your skin starts to break down, resulting in wrinkles, crepiness, sagging and bulging skin. The Thermage® system is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) therapy that can help smooth, tighten and contour skin for an overall younger-looking appearance. It helps renew your skin's collagen in all three skin layers: the epidermis, dermis and deep subcutaneous (fat) layers. And it typically involves only a single session with no downtime.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?

Although it can vary from patient to patient, Thermage typically involves only one treatment with minimal downtime. To maintain results and ensure stronger skin health bi-annual Thermage sessions may be required. Patients with very loose skin, sagging jowls and a turkey gobbler may not see much improvement after Thermage and are better suited for surgical procedures, such as facelift.

HOW SAFE IS THERMAGE?

Thermage radiofrequency treatment has been used as non-invasive wrinkle treatment for more than a decade in over 1 million treatments worldwide to date with an excellent safety record. Common side effects include minor swelling or redness after treatment. But these reactions typically subside within 24 hours. It is important to note that Thermage is not suitable for pregnant women, nor is it recommended for breastfeeding women.
