FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DOES RED LIGHT THERAPY HELP WITH HAIR LOSS?
Red Light Therapy for Hair Loss is a noninvasive approach that works by emitting low levels of red or near-infrared light deep into the scalp skin’s layers. This process triggers cellular energy and expands follicles, creating the perfect scenario for hair growth and strengthening.
In the main, Red Light Therapy gets our cells to create and carry out healing and rejuvenation energy to the tissues that need it. In Hair treatments, Red Light Therapy can increase local blood flow, reduce inflammation, and bring nutrients to your scalp follicles, resulting in richer, stronger and longer hair.
WHAT IS LED LIGHT TECHNOLOGY?
The Diode Laser Hair Regrowth is a treatment designed to target biochemical processes in your scalp. With precise wavelengths of light it can trigger the body's natural responses to accelerate healing and cellular regeneration for hair growth.
LED Red Light Laser has specific wavelengths that can unlock your natural reserves of nitric oxide. And with that, it increases local blood flow, reduces inflammation, and awakens dormant hair follicles.
WHAT FREQUENCY IS RED LIGHT THERAPY?
Red light average wavelengths penetrate the skin promoting collagen production and tissue healing. Concurrently, near-infrared wavelengths can go deeper and target joints and muscles. So the frequency used in most red light devices ranges from 650 nm (a deep red) to 850 nm (near-infrared), depending on the treatment intended. As a reference, Diode Laser Hair Regrowth Machine uses the 650nm and 625nm laser to stimulate blood flow and carry both oxygen and nutrients to hair follicles. And then uses the 808nm laser to reduce further progression of hair loss.
HOW LONG IS THE RED LIGHT THERAPY TREATMENT?
Although it can vary per patient, the recommended protocol is 8 to 10 sessions in two to three weeks, followed by a maintenance session every 1 or 2 months. Each session can take from 5 up to 30 minutes, depending on the extent and severity of the treated area. Keep in mind that results are cumulative and improvements will be more noticeable usually after 8 to 10 sessions.
WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR RED LIGHT THERAPY?
Patients that were subjected to therapies that increase light sensitivity in the past 6 months are not suitable for Red Light Therapy. The treatment is also not indicated for patients suffering from epilepsy or any severe autoimmune skin diseases.
Ultimately, Red Light Therapy is explicitly prohibited for patients with implanted heart pacemakers and pregnant women.
