WHAT IS CHIN AUGMENTATION WITH DERMAL FILLERS?
Non-surgical chin augmentation procedures were designed to add volume and harmonize features, involving gel-base filler dermal injections into precise areas of the chin and jawline. Since every patient is different, so is every chin enhancement procedure. The best technique will be adopted based on the patient’s requirements in order to achieve adequate length, width or projection of the chin. But in every procedure only a small amount of dermal filler will be used, to better control the shape and contours of the jawline during the procedure.
CAN MEN ALSO HAVE CHIN FILLER PROCEDURES?
Both men and women can benefit from a Chin Enhancement with dermal fillers. Most men choose this non-surgical procedure to get a more structured chin and a stronger jawline. Unlike female patients who choose to have chin augmentation because it’s the best alternative to chin implants for correcting small or “weak” chins.
HOW LONG WILL MY CHIN ENHANCEMENT LAST?
As with any other treatment with dermal fillers, the results of a Chin Enhancement are very individual and dependent on factors such as the patient’s anatomy, metabolism, filler placement, quality and dosage. Most patients are most pleased with the results at the 1 month mark and choose to have a touch up treatment at 6 months, to sustain this effect. But if you are not satisfied with the results at the 1 month mark, more dermal filler may be required to achieve the desired outcome. In that case, further dermal filler should be injected every 1-3 months until the desired appearance has been reached.
